WTF:😲Fake Skincare Products

We’ve all heard of counterfeit designer goods – but counterfeit beauty? With online shopping (and bargain hunting) on the rise, finding fake beauty and skin care products is increasingly common. Read on for our guide to spotting and avoiding counterfeit beauty – and why you should be on the lookout for the real thing.

The Counterfeit Beauty Industry

The spread of counterfeit beauty has become so problematic that the U.S. Department of Homeland Security launched a division called Operation Plastic Beauty, designed specifically to prevent its expansion. The results of one investigation revealed that 20 of 47 products purchased from third-party sellers were counterfeit. In each case, the seller had a customer rating of at least 90 percent, instilling misplaced trust that can hurt the end consumer.

Why Avoid Counterfeit Skin Care

So, what’s the big deal? When customers aren’t buying what they think they’ve paid for, the results can be problematic. Here’s a closer look at the risks you take when you purchase counterfeit skin care products.

Ineffective Ingredients

If you purchase counterfeit personal care products, odds are they will turn out to be ineffective. In some cases, you will have purchased ‘authentic’ products that have passed their prime (and lost their potency). In others, they are cheap imitations that are masquerading as the real thing. These typically include filler ingredients that have a lower percentage of actives and are chemically-based rather than natural and organic.

Potential Health Risks

Counterfeit products aren’t regulated and don’t abide by safety and sanitation guidelines. This means there is no way of knowing what they include, where their ingredients are sourced or how they are manufactured. According to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, this poses “a safety risk for consumers, due to hazardous or banned alternative ingredients being incorporated into formulations.” Studies of seized cosmetics have shown that some contain high levels of bacteria as well as toxic ingredients such as lead, arsenic and mercury.

Peace Of Mind

When it comes to peace of mind, there isn’t any. Manufacturers can only stand behind their products when they are purchased from authorized resellers. Counterfeit cosmetics don’t have a chain of custody that dictates when the product was made, where it has been and how it has been stored. Candice Li, VP for Global Public Affairs and Membership of the International AntiCounterfeiting Coalition tells Refinery29: “Counterfeits are dangerous because the people who are making the products are taking shortcuts in how they’re made … At the end of the day, all counterfeiters really care about is your money. They don’t care if they give consumers a bad product – or no product whatsoever.”

At the end of the day, all counterfeiters really care about is your money. They don’t

ACNES AND ITS TREATMENT

ANCES

Acnes and its treatment . Acne is a menace but It has its treatments. However, it’s not something that cannot be tackled. There are loads of acne skin care products around.

We can classify acne skin care products into 3 broad categories
  • Preventive or general acne skin care products.
  • Over-the-counter, specialized acne skin care products.
  • On-prescription acne skin care products.

The general acne skin care products are the ones that are used as acne-prevention measure. These include cleansers, make-up removers and similar products that help prevent acne. In the real sense, these acne skin care products are just those that should anyway be part of your daily routine.

However, some of these are more oriented to act like an acne skin care product. These acne skin care products act against the causes of acne e.g. limiting the production of sebum/oil and preventing clogging of skin pores.

Basically, these acne skin care products prevent the oil from getting trapped in pores and hence hamper the growth of bacteria that lead to acne. The general acne skin care products also include exfoliation products like skin peels. These work towards removing dead skin cells, hence reducing the possibility of pore-clogging and bacteria development.

Some acne type and its treatment

Then there are specialised acne skin care products that are available over-the-counter i.e. without the need of a prescription. These include products like vanishing creams which extract the extra oil from the skin. Most of these acne skin care products are based on benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid, both of which are the enemies of bacteria (and hence acne).

You should start with a product that has lower concentration of benzoyl peroxide (e.g. 5%) and see how your skin responds to it. Alpha-hydroxy-acid based moisturizers are also popular as acne skin care products. You might have to try a few, before you zero-in on the acne skin care product that is effective for you. If nothing seems to work, you should contact a dermatologist.

On-prescription acne skin care products are the ones that are prescribed by a dermatologist. This can include ointments that can be applied on the affected area or oral antibiotics or just any topical treatment. Dermatologist could also suggest a minor surgical procedure to remove the contents of pustules.

However, never try to squeeze or do this by yourself, it can lead to permanent damage of your skin. Your doctor could also prescribe a hormone-based treatment (since hormonal changes are also known to cause acne). Such acne skin care products are known to be very effective in some cases.
So, with all those acne skin care products, tackling acne is not that difficult.

How to get a glowing skin

Your skin is the largest organ that you have, so you want to take care of it. Glowing skin is typically seen as a sign of health and vitality. Dull or dry skin, on the other hand, can make you feel less than your best.

Here are some products and lifestyle changes that you can implement as part of your beauty and skincare routine. The best part? You probably already have everything you need in your pantry, kitchen, or medicine cabinet.

1. Soothe skin with virgin coconut oil

Coconut oil has anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and healing propertiesTrusted Source. But using coconut oil on your face may not work for every skin type. Do not use if you have allergies to coconut.

If you’re able to apply it without irritation, it can be used in a number of ways. You can use coconut oil to:

  • take off makeup
  • soothe your skin barrier
  • promote dewy-looking skin that’s healthy below the surface layer

Research Trusted Source shows that coconut oil is a good moisturizer. Try massaging a small amount of coconut oil onto your face. Let it soak in for a few minutes before washing off with your normal cleanser.

Buy virgin coconut oil here.

2. Use aloe vera to keep skin strong and healthy

Aloe vera has healing properties and may stimulate new cell growth. It also soothes and moisturizes without clogging pores. Using aloe vera after you’ve washed your face each day may give your skin that healthy glow.

It’s possible to be allergic to aloe vera. Test it first by rubbing a small amount on your forearm and if there’s no reaction in 24 hours, it should be safe to use.

3. Moisturize properly after washing your face

Moisturize your skin with products that lock in moisture, promote healing, and have antioxidant properties to encourage a glowing, youthful look. Don’t exfoliate your skin when it feels dry, and don’t skip moisturizer just because your face feels oily.

Apply moisturizer to your skin when it’s still wet from a shower or from rinsing your face. This will lock in extra moisture rather than working on a surface level to make your face feel smooth.

4. Find a cleansing routine that works

You don’t want to rob your skin of moisture by washing it too often, and you don’t want to encourage your pores to produce too much extra oil to compensate for too much washing.

Washing your face after you’ve worked up a sweat, first thing in the morning, and right before bed is typically the sweet spot for healthy skin.

7 UNIQUE BENEFITS OF USING OUR BODY LOTIONS

Applying Our Unique body lotions is one of the few inexpensive ways that people can pamper themselves.
Bath body lotion seals moisture into the skin to prevent drying, while body care lotion softens rough elbows and heels, along with other dry areas of the skin. A quality body skin lotion can work wonders on scaly, dehydrated skin that feels rough and looks unattractive, and hand body lotion works especially well on the hands and feet, but can be applied all over the body.
As millions of users will agree, body lotion provides many benefits to people who make time to use it on a regular basis.

7 UNIQUE BENEFITS OF USING OUR BODY LOTION

1. Re-hydrate dried skin.
People who work in harsh climates often apply body lotion on a regular basis, perhaps even daily. Skin that is chapped or dried from wind, cold, or heat can be hard to treat with regular cosmetics. Some people have sensitive skin.
No matter which type of climate they live in, their skin can become dry and irritated easily, sometimes even from indoor heat. Our organic body lotion, applied after each shower or bath, can help to seal moisture deep in the skin to keep it hydrated and supple. It may not be a bad idea to keep a bottled of your favorite scented body lotion on hand for an after-bath application.
2. Replenish extra dry or rough spots on the skin.
Even if your normal skin type is oily or normal, you might have rough areas on your body, like around the elbows or knees that could benefit from skin lotion applications after a bath or at bedtime. With regular use, a replenishing lotion can ease rough skin and make it as smooth and silky as the rest of your body.
3. Smooth calluses.
If you are on your feet quite a bit you may have developed rough calluses that are painful and unsightly. A moist body lotion can make these areas supple and help you to remove the dead skin easier than if you attempted it without lotion. If your calluses appear discolored, swollen, or have red streaks running from them, check with your doctor rather than trying to remove them yourself.
4. Feel and smell good.
People love the feel of creamy lotion on their tired limbs or torso. Enjoy the relaxing sensation of lotion applied to your feet, legs, or arms. Specialty stores, department stores, and gift shops carry many different scents of body lotion to choose from. There are as many lotion types as you have moisturizing needs, so take advantage of the wealth of scents and textures to find one that suits your personality and needs.
5. Help yourself relax.
Even if your skin is in great shape and does not need to be moisturized with lotion, try a body massage with scented lotion on the hands. You can even get lotion that heats up during application to add sensory warmth to the parts of your body to which it is applied.
The feel of gentle softness on your skin rotating in firm, steady massage movements can remove stress, subdue pain, and enhance endorphins to make you feel great. What a wonderful gift to present to someone who is feeling tired out and worn down!
6. Soften the roughest parts of your body.
Do your legs dry out after shaving? How about rough hands or toughened heels? No matter your age or lifestyle, body lotion can do wonders to help you relax and appreciate the simple comforts of life. You may want to keep a bottle of body lotion in the kitchen for your hands after doing dishes or in the bathroom after a quick wash-up. Put some in the spare bathroom for guests.
Place a bottle of your favorite scented lotion in the bedroom to feel smooth and smell sweet at bedtime. There are dozens of uses for body lotion when you think about all the ways it can be applied to make your skin moist, supple, and sweet smelling.
7. Make your skin glow.
Our organic skincare lotion are embedded brightening qualities to show up as tiny sparkling flecks on the skin when applied. It brighten the skin to remove dull, dead flakes and rejuvenate underlying tissues.
Our organic body care lotions serves a variety of purposes that benefit users in everyday life or for specific situations. Men and women in all walks of life, climates, and regions sometimes need skin hydration and moisturizing.
